Happy Birthday Autumn!

7 years ago today, I went into labor at 5:30 am, well actually my water broke, or at least I THOUGHT it broke, I had no clue really. I had to go potty, kind of felt a little tiny pop and I felt trickles that I didn't know whether or not it was me going to the restroom all over myself, lol. So I called my doctor at the time and he told me to go in. Sure enough I was in labor. They gave me an epidural (which didn't even work, it only worked on ONE side of my body, fun times), and I layed there. My poor husband had just come home from Korea at 7:30 the previous night (meaning I went into labor within a few hours of him being there), and so he completely passed out on the couch. Meanwhile I just let him sleep while I progressed slowly, but surely. Around 8 pm the doctors told me I had to start pushing (oh and probably a half hour before that they finally fixed my epi, which was a relief), I pushed for 45 minutes and my first, sweet baby girl was born at 8:46 pm on August 9th, 2002. She had almost black hair, grey eyes, and she was perfect to me! I fell in love with her immediately. Since then she has only grown up to be an even sweeter daughter, and she makes my life a joy every single day. She definately has her ups and downs (what kid doesn't?), but overall, she's a great kid to have around. So, I think I'll keep her!

Today was her celebration of her 7th birthday, Paul was actually home for this one. He managed to miss her first birthday, her second birthday, her fourth, fifth and sixth birthdays, so we wanted to go all out for her. We got her a little too many presents, and we threw her a party, and we also got tickets to take her and Sierra to a theme park that is about an hour away. So we went a little overboard, but she absolutely had a blast. I didn't feel that well this morning, but Paul and I still managed to make an outstanding breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes (all per request). We then prepared for a wonderful birthday party, which was even fun for the adults. While the kids all played, us adults took to the Rock Band, and had a lot of fun singing, playing drum, guitar or bass, lol! It was great! The kids even were able to play some too. Autumn made out like a bandit with all of the new things she got. She got some games for her DS, she got a new book, a few new barbies, new Hannah Montana things (her new thing as of lately), she even got an easy bake oven, thanks to the Hurey family! We had snacks of grapes, pineapple, oranges, strawberries, and blueberries, and fruit dip of course. We also had watermelon, Paul made a delicious pizza dip with breadsticks, and we had some olives as well. We served up an ice cream cake that went really fast, and all of the kids recieved some Hannah Montana gift bags. The party lasted until almost 6, so for about 3 hours, but all in all it was very fun! Now that the party is over, Paul was being a great daddy, and went out and got us some food for dinner, we also helped Autumn put together some of her toys. She can't wait to ride that new Razor Scooter she got, complete with a new helmet, of course!

The girls are now in bed, Paul is playing a video game, I'm writing on my blog thinking about going to bed and reading (right now I'm reading 7th Heaven, by James Patterson). Today was a fanstastic day, I'm so blessed to have been able to share it with so many of my dear friends, whom I consider family, because to be honest, in the army, your friends ARE your family. I want to thank them all soooo much for coming today, I'm sure not one of them will read this, but in case they do, know that I'm entirely thankful for you! Okay now that I've gone all sappy, and I'm also rambling a bit...so I'm gonna hit the sack!
